elkin.de uses artificial intelligence as a supporting tool in parts of its editorial and technical work. Depending on the project, this may include assistance with:

The use of AI does not mean that every affected work was generated entirely by an AI system. The website distinguishes between the following forms of involvement:
AI-assisted
A person created or directed the work while an AI system assisted with particular tasks such as editing, translation, research organisation, coding or technical analysis.
Partly AI-generated
An AI system generated a meaningful portion of the published material, which was subsequently selected, reviewed or edited by a person.
AI-generated
The principal text, image, audio or video output was generated by an AI system.
AI-modified
Existing material was substantially altered using generative AI.
Human reviewed
The material was reviewed and, where necessary, corrected or edited by a person before publication. Unless a disclosure explicitly states otherwise, Elkin Fricke assumes editorial responsibility for AI-assisted material published on elkin.de.
Relevant AI involvement may be disclosed:
Near the title of an article.
On article cards and archive listings.
In an image caption.
Before audio or video playback.
In a dedicated transparency notice accompanying the content.

The disclosure is intended to describe the origin and editorial process accurately. It does not imply that every spelling correction, routine formatting operation or conventional software function requires an AI label.
Under Article 50 of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act, certain AI-generated or manipulated material must be disclosed clearly and accessibly. This includes deepfakes and certain AI-generated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest. The regulation provides an exception for such text when it has undergone human review or editorial control and a person or organisation assumes editorial responsibility.
elkin.de may disclose meaningful AI involvement more broadly than the strict legal minimum as part of its commitment to transparency.
